Am starting a new series “TruthAboutTexas – Trails” to showcase all of the great trails and nature areas in Texas. This is one of my new favorite spots now a lot of mountain bike riders go here to Juniper point, outside of Gordonville.

Operated by the Corp of Engineers, Juniper Point Campground features 44 sites with electricity and water and 26 basic sites. In addition, there are two shower /toilet facilities, two boat ramps, one area with a controlled entrance, access to the Cross Timbers hiking trail, and close proximity to beautiful sandy beaches.
